I Am Almost Apologetic For This…I said Almost But When The DCCC Has Nancy Pelosi’s Name On A Request For Support And Money; That’s Where I Get Off The Train!
Here Is A Change To Convey The Message We Need To Communicate About Our Contempt For Pelosi And What Our Party Is Not Doing.
Every member of The House of Representatives is up for reelection in November of 2008. That they understand; that is their vulnerability. We need to remind them every day of that vulnerability and our willingness to participate in ending their careers if they choose continued silence on or opposition to Impeachment, persist in ignoring the principles and philosophy of our party, abandoning the Constitution and whoring their oath of office to the latest lobbyist loot.
These folks take us for granted as they assume we will return to the fold having nowhere else to turn to vote but for their incumbent asses, and that they can arouse our party loyalty to open our wallets and purses for a few bucks and a form letter thank you!
Let them know you don’t give a damn who is elected in their stead, because as they are now acting and voting; they are of no damn use to you or this nation, and that you have had it and are prepared to put the interest of this nation before any party loyalty, and that as things now stand it does not matter who gets elected so your commitment is to anyone else but them.
The Senators addressed below must also stand for reelection and should be put aboard the same canoe for sinking.
Elections for the United States Senate will be held on November 4, 2008, with 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate being contested. Thirty-three seats are regular elections; the winners will serve six-year terms from January 3, 2009 until January 3, 2015 as members of Senate Class II.
There are also two special elections: one in Wyoming and another in Mississippi; the winners will serve the remainder of terms that expire on January 3, 2013, as members of Senate Class I.
The 2008 presidential election, gubernatorial elections, and House of Representatives elections will occur on the same date, as well as many state and local elections.
The current composition of the Senate, going into the 2008 election, consists of 49 Republicans, 49 Democrats, and two independents (Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, who both caucus with Democrats). Of the seats up for election in 2008, 23 are held by Republicans and 12 by Democrats.
There may be changes to the list of incumbents below if senators die or resign. The date of a death or resignation determines if there will be a special election in 2008, and the rules vary from state to state.

THIS ABSOLUTELY PISSED ME OFF…NO OTHER WORDS WILL DO!
I am writing to wish you Happy New Year and to personally thank you for your support this year. Our accomplishments would not have been possible without the support of Democrats like you. As we celebrate the holidays with our family and friends, let us reflect on why it is critical that we work so hard to take America in a New Direction.
In 2008, we will have almost 75 Republican seats in play, and 30 vulnerable Democrats to protect. House Republicans have already transferred more than $3 million from their Members' campaign accounts into the NRCC this month. On top of that, they have Republican outside groups ready to spend hundreds of millions of dollars against us next year.
Midnight tonight may mark the New Year, but it also marks a critical year-end FEC deadline for all Democrats. If you haven't already done so, please go to www.dccc.org/midnight and give. We are just $33,512 away from our goal and your urgent donation will be matched by House Democrats. The resources we bring in today will show our strength before the end of the year, and carry us into 2008, where we will expand our Democratic majority and overcome Roadblock Republicans who are blocking the change the American people so desperately want.
To give now, please contribute at www.dccc.org/midnight.
Thank you again for your support and Happy New Year!

My Letter: (Sent)
Dear Democratic Party Organization,
This communication did it! I have been loyal to the party as a young Democrat before I could vote and have labored in the vineyards of our party in support of every Democrat Candidate in my voting jurisdiction until now. I have reached the point of consultant and have advocated with everything that is in my being on behalf of my party.
That is over. That you would allow this request to be sent to me bearing the signature of Nancy Pelosi is both an insult and a disgrace.
She has betrayed everything that Democrats stand for and our current crop of candidates, with the exception of Dennis Kucinich, are no better than the Republican Party offerings. In fact; they are traitors to everything we once stood for.
I will no longer place party loyalty, service and support before the welfare of this nation. To ask my support at this time is to ask me to abandon all principle and integrity. To ask my support at this time is to ask me to surrender, capitulate to a party that supports the Bush Administration’s every whim and chooses to do nothing in the belief that will lead us honorably to the White House. It will not!
I will instead assure you that I will oppose every candidate seeking office in 2008 who does not support The Constitution, who does not move to Impeach both George Bush and Richard Cheney, as that failure is a violation of their oath of office for which they should forever be removed from public office as a representative of the Democratic Party.
The name of our party is in and of itself pure hypocrisy in my eyes. I am ashamed to call myself a Democrat and I do not know how much longer I can do so.
In Sincere Anger and disgust,
SEE BELOW…I GET THE SAME CRAP!
Despite the fact that Virginia has none of the 40 reported targeted House races in 2008, since Christmas my inbox has gotten a lot of email from the DCCC. Every day at least one digital letter has arrived from someone different about different subjects but all with the same general message: give now to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Here’s the quick rundown:
December 26th — From: Paul Begala — Subject: Shameless
December 27th —From: James Carville — Subject: B-Rate Cowboys
December 28th — From: Wes Clark — Subject: Reckless
December 29th — From: Madeleine K. Albright — Subject: A Moment of Truth
December 30th — From: Rep. Rahm Emanuel — Subject: 300 Million
December 31st — From: Speaker Nancy Pelosi — Subject: Happy New Year
To: “Shawn O’Donnell”

Diary by Rep. Wexler on Cheney Hearings
by Wexler For Congress Campaign
Mon Dec 31, 2007 at 08:36:26 AM PST
We have been following the diaries on Daily Kos and elsewhere with great interest and excitement, as it has been the Netroots that has truly given weight to our call for Impeachment Hearings. Without you, I believe we would have been completely ignored by the mainstream press. Thanks to your calls and letters to publications, we have started to break through the mainstream press, and the pace of signatures has climbed back up.
I have been encouraging those that have already signed to continue to contact their representatives in Congress and encourage them to support our effort. There is no doubt in my mind that whether I go back with 200,000 or 250,000 - the message will be clear to my colleagues: there is massive support for hearings, and there will be increased anger and disillusionment if we don't address these abuses of power soon.
I think it's important to point out that while there may not currently be 218 votes in support of actual impeachment, it's premature to think that support would not be there AFTER hearings.
Wexler For Congress Campaign's diary :: ::
The whole purpose of hearings is to investigate and verify credible allegations of wrongdoing. Let us remember that it wasn't until after hearings began that the Watergate tapes emerged. Who knows what will be uncovered when we explore the evidence already on the table? Who knows what support will emerge when the truth comes out?
This administration has obstructed our agenda since we took the majority. There is little reason to think that if we avoid hearings, we will suddenly find ourselves in an easier position. In fact, there is good cause to believe the opposite - that if we avoid hearings, we will STILL be obstructed. Such an outcome would be tragic.
Lastly, there are those that suggest that there is too little time to conduct hearings. This is a dangerous idea, as it signals to future presidents that after the third year of their term, they're effectively immune from serious inquiry. No President or Vice President should have such immunity. The Constitution does not include a statute of limitations.
I hope this diary will help you as you make your arguments to Congress and to the media. If you haven't already signed up, please go to www.WexlerWantsHearings.com.
Happy New Year to you all.
With warm regards,
Congressman Robert Wexler
