An Update To" We Will Not Be Alone On The 15th

Baghdad

OK FOLKS WHAT IS OUR OPPOSITION UP TO AND SAYING COMING INTO THE SEPTEMBER FINALE?
Operation Eagle Justice

This is the one many of you have been waiting on. On 15 September we will rally on The Mall at 0900 hrs on 7th Street between Madison and Jefferson. We have many notable speakers joining us that day, so don’t be late. After our program is completed, we will head over to line A.N.S.W.E.R .’s route to the Capitol. We are permitted from 7th to 10th on Pennsylvania Ave., and our allies in the DC Chapter of Protest Warriors have been granted the permit for the Navy Memorial, which is directly across the street from us. Many of you will remember the treatment the Lone Sailor received at the hands of Code Pink back in January. We will not let that happen again.

As A.N.S.W.E.R. and their allies in the hate-America crowd stumble by, we will treat them to some good old-fashioned, red-blooded American “free speech.” Remember, the days are still warm, and we will be outside, so bring water and light snacks. Parking will be severely limited, so be prepared to access the Metro if possible. The Navy Memorial stop will put you two blocks from the rally and directly across from the counter-protest site. Motorcycles can be parked on any of the numbered streets west of 7th.

Buses will disgorge their passengers at 4th Street on The Mall. Marshals and team leaders will be at all locations to ground-guide and provide security. A.N.S.W.E.R. and the Iraq Vets for Peace (all 12 of them) are planning to stage a “die-in” on the Capitol grounds. They plan to use photos and names of our brave warriors who have been killed in action as props. Multiple Gold Star family members have expressed outrage that anyone would use their family members’ images without permission. Be prepared to let the miscreants know how we feel about that. Bring your outside voices and all the heart I know you each possess. This is the one-two punch, my brothers and sisters. We may not knock them out, but we will knock them down (metaphorically speaking, of course!). Our warriors are winning over, killing, and capturing terrorists. We must let those who do not know they have a voice hear us. It is an obligation we all bear.

Join us on September 15th to let the world know how we feel!

THE PARTY LINE: The Top Ten Myths of the War in Iraq.

1 – that the war is all about Oil.
2 – The US is fighting alone
3 – Iraq is engulfed in a full scale war
4 – Iraqis were better off under Saddam Hussein
5 – Iraqi government is ineffective
6 – There is no economic development in Iraq
7 – Contractors are costing the Government too much
8 – The troops are not properly equipped
9 – Troop morale is low
10 – We have lost the war.

Col Byrge told us how all of these myths are wrong and in fact the opposite is very true of each of these. Here are some interesting facts and figures:
The Brookings institute estimates that an immediate pullout of Iraq would result in 750,000 civilian deaths almost immediately

26 countries militaries as well as 331,000 Iraqis and contractors from 40 countries are all working with us.

5 resolutions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom have been passed

Recruits from Ramadi – Nov’06 4 recruits. Mar’07 1500 crecruits.

The majority of Muslims are not extremist fundamentalists and do not feel that Islam needs to rule the whole world.

Since Hussein there has been a 25% increase in immunizations and 90% reduction in measles.

Before the war most of Iraq got 4-8 hrs of electricity/day. Now those areas have 8-10.

75% of Iraqis get twice the time on electric grid than they did before the war.

The US Army Corps of Engineers has completed 3704 construction and public service projects with 4794 planned projects.

The Iraqi government has done remarkably well in one year when you consider that the US constitution took 9years to become effective.

Iraqi GDP up 9 and many countries have forgiven debts that Iraq owed them including Suadi Arabia and Russia. Also inflation has been cut in half.

We work with 129,000 contractors in Iraq of which; 21,00 are US, 43,000 international, and 65,00 are Iraqi.

Having contractors working in Iraq means less troops deployed, they perform high quality work and average only 3% profit.

All the troops have body armor and no troops leave base without an armored vehicle.

On a typical day in Iraq there are 1200 cargo trucks making deliveries, 400,000 meals served, and 2.8 million pieces of laundry cleaned…in ONE DAY

Tribal leaders are starting to resist Al Qaeda

26% decline in sectarian violence since Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon.

I commented on the “new format” post that I had started a blogroll of GOE participants (displayed on my blog) and will gladly share the script if you would like for others to display it.
If you will post a JOIN link from GOE (this page, for example), all “add me” requests can come here. I will volunteer to monitor and add them to the blog roll.
Just say the word and it’s done!
And thanks for all you do ….

Sure, Mustang, I can do that for you. Quick question - is it reciprocal? Did your website post any coverage, articles, calls to action, or links to GOE? Have you publicly endorsed us? I’m just asking because I couldn’t find any mention of GOE on your website, but maybe I missed it. Let me know, and I’ll whip up a link for you.

Redhead Infidel,It is good to see you are still involved and kicking with the GOE.I sent an email to Larry Hoffa about the fact the powers that be had dropped some very supportive websites one in particular that I think you should add back.
Bob Griffin’s website

http://www.screamingeagle326.com/index2.htm along with Viper’s are the two most supportive of the GOE and it’s efforts of any site on the internet.
Bob’s site is one of the top three most popular military sites internationally as well as in America and has been for years.I told Bob who is a good friend and fellow Screaming Eagle who per our conversation the other evening that I would personally write to Larry and to the GOE in his behalf as I feel who ever is responsible for making the decisions regarding which sites are added and removed should place this excellent and supportive site back on the list.
I was in Greensboro in support of the rally there as I felt more people who said they would be should have.

I am also volunteering my time gladly in helping the GOE in any way I can this coming Saturday in Chapel Hill, so does this sound like someone who would advise you on a bad website. I most certainly hope not.

Gentlemen,
This is my third or fourth but last attempt to get this website added back in with the list of supportive sites.

I do not know if Viper or who makes the decisions as to who and who is allowed on the list and with all of the “growing pains” and learning that even Red Head Infidel has foolishly been removed from involvement with the GOE, I don’t know if the effort is worth the trouble.
Somebody is making biased and poor decisions and I hope this stops very soon.
I wish to see the GOE grow instead of self destruct and removing the best Screaming Eagle and supportive site from the list is just one mistake.

Bob Griffin’s website
http://www.screamingeagle326.com/index2.htm along with Viper’s are the two most supportive of the GOE and it’s efforts of any site on the internet.

Bob’s site is one of the top three most popular military sites internationally as well as in America and has been for years.Nobody is trying to take Viper’s lead away from him and the fact he managed to become the “spokesperson website” for the GOE, in fact far from it.
I will stick with the GOE through thick and thin, but poor biased decisions such as pulling very supportive sites can hurt our cause and keeping ones that do not even mention the GOE does not make sense. We NEED THE POSITIVE EXPOSURE.Charles R. Gant101st Airborne DivisionVietnam 67-68

Mod comment: Redhead Infidel made the decision, not GOE management, to scale back her involvement.

It is impossible for me to claim to speak for the 1.3 million registered Republicans in Los Angeles County, however, I can assure you there is not one Republican activist that I know that doesn’t supports the troops or our war on terrorism.

If you were to take a poll today and ask about the withdraw of our troops I could say with certainty that every Republican wants to bring the troops home as soon as possible but not without completing their mission.

If you were to take a poll today and ask about the execution of the war in Iraq I would just about guarantee the majority would not give it high scores. But there has never been a war in which either side has executed perfectly.

I would love to exchange links with you guys. The Los Angeles Republican’s Alliance website is http:larepublicans.com. Join our mailing list… We are a very dynamic community and have a master calendar of most of the major Republican Clubs and Organizations in the largest county in the US.

I’ll also visit each site to look for a link to GOE from your main page (or sidebar for blogs) — the link may be text or through a small image.

Thank you for your consideration.

dd
p.s.: may I make a suggestion. I looked at some of the sites that had their links dropped. They were great sites but I think I see why you dropped them. May I suggest that you add a Memorial Blogroll of great sites honoring Vietnam Veterans and other wars and the units who served in them. One of those sites was absolutely awesome. We don’t need to call it a Memorial Blogroll. I am sure you guys could come up with a much better name. But, it would be a shame to not include them somewhere on the site as the troops and veterans are what we are all about. I hope I don’t sound forward. I only meant my remarks as a respectful suggestion!

Hi DD –
I came on board to work with this page in May and have not dropped ANY web sites or blogs.
If you want to suggest web pages or blogs to include here (in case some may have been lost when the format was changed), please do so!

Please clarify if I misunderstand, but are you also asking for a “Memorial Page” honoring fallen vets? Vietnam vets in particular?

If that’s your request, I’ll forward it to the powers that be and will also volunteer to keep it (and other rolls) updated.

Thanks for the suggestion, btw!!!

My apologies friend. I was responding to a post. But ny suggestion is impractical since the sites were not deleted. By the way, you’re doing a great job. I have enough trouble keeping my blog roll up. I don’t know how you do it!

No apologies necessary, DD.
When this web site was initially developed, several blogs/sites were lost via a system glitch.
Hopefully, they were all recovered (re-added — is that a word?) LOL
And thanks to everyone for promoting and supporting GOE activities and projects!!

NYC Says We Will Not Submit!
This Sunday 9.9.07 is our Patriots’ Peaceful Protest opposing the Muslim Day Parade, 2007 in New York City, two days before the sixth anniversary of the brutal attacks by Muslim cowards who killed so many of our countrymen.

A final, patriotic thought:

WE UNDERSTAND THAT MUSLIMS LIVE BY THE WORD OF THE KORAN, WHICH THEY BELIEVE TO BE THE TRUE, PURE WORD OF GOD…BUT WE ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT THE ROOT OF ALL KORANIC TEACHINGS IS THE ENFORCEMENT AND PERPETUATION OF FUNDAMENTAL ISLAMIC RULE (SHARIA) OVER THE ENTIRE REALM OF HUMANITY, THROUGH THE VIOLENT IMPLEMENTATION OF SHARIA LAW.

IN RESPONSE TO THIS, WE ARE HERE TO SAY …

New York CityWILL NOT SUBMIT!

Artillery and Close-Air Support for Task Force Eagle
Well, after much effort, the day is nearly here. Our collective voices will be raised not only in the streets, but in the halls of Congress. Task Force Eagle will rally in Upper Senate Park on 10 September. We will be urging Congress to support our troops in the field. We cannot do this alone. Please access the Letter to Congress, remove Member of Congress from the address line, replace it with your representative’s name, affix your name, address, and email and then fax it over to your representative’s Washington, DC office.

We are under no delusions that they will bother to read these letters; at least not more than once, but they will count them. Remember the Immigration Debate. Faxes, phone calls and emails overwhelmed the Congressional phone lines. We can do that with this issue too. This is one of those times where you must not say to yourself, “My voice won’t matter.

Congress doesn’t listen.” The only thing politicians respond to are numbers. You must be those numbers. We will be the proverbial infantry caught in the open, and will rely on you to support our offensive. If you do not have the ability to fax the letter, then please call and email the Washington, DC office of your representative to tell them you support victory and nothing less. Remember to identify yourself as an Eagle, give your name, and above all else, be polite.

That’s it. Now is the call to arms. We’ve all ranted and raved about the treatment our men and women in uniform have received. We have all vowed that never again would it happen. This is the chance to make good on that vow.

If we do not get support the effort will not have the effect it should. This is the chance to support our brave warriors and BUY THEM THE TIME TO WIN. They are counting on us. If we do not assure Congress that the majority of Americans support victory, they will knuckle under to the communists forces we counter in the streets. I, for one, am not prepared to let that happen. I will do my part and tirelessly present our argument. I am counting on you all to do just this one thing. Manchu

Dear Member of Congress:I support the mission in Iraq, the war on terror, and our brave troops!

We are making progress on the ground in Iraq. The violence is being quelled, and our efforts to train Iraqi security forces are succeeding. Withdrawing our troops now would leave Iraq without the security it needs to make political progress and to engender economic development. Withdrawing now would signal concession to al Qaeda in Iraq and our enemies around the world. If the United States has any hope to win the broader war on terrorism, it must finish the job in Iraq.

Withdrawal would lead to Iranian expansionism, the creation of an al Qaeda base in Iraq and, even more significantly, the intimidation of moderate forces throughout the region and a diminution of confidence in the credibility and strength of the United States of America. American troops must remain in Iraq in the country until al Qaeda -linked terrorists are eradicated. If we retreat, we cede Iraq to Al-Qaeda , Iran, and Syria, and we abandon our moderate Muslim allies. If, on the other hand, we allow the new strategy to work, we will have a chance at success.

Gen. Douglas MacArthur once said that a country that fails to prosecute war as aggressively as possible is guilty of grave sin. How true! Only in that way can the Iraq war be brought to its swiftest conclusion. A nineteenth-century French political philosopher, Frederic Bastiat, pointed out that all creation is divided into things seen and things unseen. What is seen in this instance is the lives, American and Iraqi that are being lost in Iraq. What is unseen is the tens of thousands of lives that will be lost in the bloodbath that will follow a precipitate US withdrawal from that country. What is also unseen is the increase in the vulnerability of this nation engendered by an Islamist victory in Iraq.

We MUST prevail in Iraq! Anything less will be an unmitigated disaster for the United States and for western civilization. Now is the time to UNITE FOR VICTORY!
Sincerely,Name:______________________

UPDATES: Task Force Eagle and Operation Eagle Justice

Okay, Eagles. We’re less than a week out from our first mission and less than two weeks from the second. We have moved Heaven and Earth and expended untold man-hours to get the logistics done. It is now up to each and every one of you to ruck up and support these missions at whatever level you are capable of. For some of you, that will mean showing up at one or both events. For others, that will mean supporting the missions from afar; either by faxing the letter we have posted or calling your members of Congress. Some of you will donate funds so that the events can be paid for. We need you to support us at whatever level you can.

To quote Winston Churchill, “Sometimes it is not enough to do your best; sometimes you must do what is required.” This is that time.

To put it in military terms, the infantry will be on the ground, and we need artillery and air support, as well as supply. We have to count on each other, because we do not have much chance of receiving any measurable press coverage. We have done more with less , though. It is not for any reason other than we have promised to BUY OUR TROOPS SOME TIME. We want them to come home, but as victors to the heroes welcome they deserve.

We have all promised not to let this generation be treated as our brothers from Vietnam were. They are winning, and we must support them until the fight is done. They are doing their part. Now we must each do a little bit more than our part. I look forward to standing with those of you with whom I stood in March and meeting those who have joined us since.
I consider it a great honor to be counted among your number. I have promised never again to be silent in the face of anti-American propaganda, whatever the cost. I know you have, too. I am not trying to build bridges to these people who call themselves peace activists while hurling the insults “baby-killer,” “war criminal,” and “bomb thrower” at us. I fully intend to defeat them at every turn, and with your help I can. Thank you for entrusting me with your standard; I’ll see you in Washington , DC. Manchu.

Task Force Eagle

Rally at Upper Senate Park (on Capitol Hill) at 1000hrs 10 September. The Park is located the north side of the Capitol, between it and Union Station. We will be greeted by Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI). After a pre-game talk, we will venture inside to explain to Congress that we will not allow our men and women in uniform to be used as political props. The time for political rhetoric is over. The Surge is working. Local politics in Iraq are expanding. Bottom-up change is taking place, and the choice is either to continue to safeguard a burgeoning democracy until they can stand on their own, or to surrender to Al-Qaeda. Surrender is not an infantry word.

Our warriors in Iraq know it, and it is our job to remind Congress. Those of you who cannot make this action, please print out a copy of the letter to Congress, sign it, and fax it over to your representatives. Then follow up with a phone call. Let them know we support victory and will accept nothing else. We cannot do it without you. Lt. Gen. Petraeus will testify that day, so there is no better time for us to show our support. We are perfectly situated to effect change, but we must all do one thing that day. Each of us must think of our men and women in 120-degree heat (before they put on body armor) and know that they are pulling their weight. It is time to pull ours.
