1) We have the nationwide campaign in full bore in 37 states that I can confirm. It is being carried out by phone, fax, email and follow up letters to the editor in local jurisdictions.

2) Skip the Sheehan political theater unless you have time to print and snail mail your Pelosi letter. She had better wake up fast and secure the campaign help that she needs or all is going to be for naught on her part. I support her but she has got to get it together, and so far she has not…FACT!


3) Everyone should be contacting: (a) Pelosi, (b) Hoyer , (c) Conyers, (d) Your local person(s) Reps on the committee with local press follow up, (e) contact any other Reps you have time for, (f) then maybe the Cindy piece, and (g) anything else you can do to drawn attention to the committee, Impeachment and Kucinich.

4) UPDATE FOR ACTIONS DURING RECESS…ADD TO THE PROGRAM!

The next two+ weeks your representative may be home in your district. The House voted 11/15 to start recess a day early, so they will be out from Nov. 16 - Dec. 4. Call your representative's district office(s) to request her/his schedule during this period; if you can, absolutely make an appointment to meet with her/him. Keep an eye on your local news for any scheduled appearances of your representative to attend. One way or another, try to solicit directly from your representative his/her commitment to support Kucinich's drive to impeach Cheney and, hopefully, to co-sponsor H.Res. 333/799.

For Your Info From One Who Is Concerned And Focusing!
Here is what I know:

Randi Rhodes (Air America Radio) met Conyers during the weekend after DJK re-introduced the resolution on 11/5. According to Randi, Conyers wants to go ahead with hearings. Conyers was surprised that the press release from his own office sounded like he was not for it because they were busy with the FISA bill and other things. Conyers told Randi that she (Randi) had given him (Conyers) more information than all his attorneys who counsel him. (This is exactly what Randi said on the radio).

Pelosi is Conyers' boss (here comes the authority factor!! again that we get hit with in our country). And as the word goes Conyers needs his boss's approval to move forward. Hence the big push to pressure Pelosi who is the real obstacle according to the news I have.

So I believe we need to put pressure on all of them, most at the top, then Conyers and then Nadler (subcommittee chair) where HR-799/HR-333 is right now.

I believe in pressuring/challenging the topmost dog who is the obstruction to Justice and Peace and Pelosi is that dog or the b..ch - take your pick :-)

We should have done the calling when Pelosi said, "Impeachment is off the table". I faxed her three letters back then. She behaved as unilaterally as bush when she did that and also arm twisted Conyers to say the same. But we thought that she might have other methods to deal with the situation of a rogue president but she turned out to be a dud. As I know calling and writing letters to our Congress persons is the most powerful way of getting them to change their minds. So I believe rumor or not if we all do that aided by this rumor it will have an impact. I am glad someone started the rumor and more importantly the letters are going to Cindy Sheehan who is challenging Pelosi in 2008 and I have a lot of faith in Cindy.

THERE IS MOVEMENT IN CONYERS OFFICE AND WE HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING TO ENCOURAGE ITS DEVELOPMENT. THANKSGIVING WEEKEND PRESS SHOULD BE LOADED WITH LETTERS.
