HOUSE AND SENATE CAVE ON WIRE TAPPING AS THE CONSTITUTION BECOMES BUSHIT TOILET PAPER!

WHAT MORE ARE WE EXPECTED TO ACCEPT AND ENDURE IN THE NAME OF TERRORISM...A FASCIST DICTATORSHIP AUTHORED BY THOSE WE HAVE ELECTED TO PROTECT AND DEFEND THIS NATION UNDER THE RULE OF LAW?
Do we have to have another disaster and this administration imposes martial law some where before the people of this nation will wake up?
Must we have this event before the Congress stops whining about:"We don't have the votes." and concentrates on producing the votes for Impeachment?
Must tragedy strike again before the Democratic Party realizes that all the money and hype of the early 2008 election side show is nothing more than following the blue print of November into a failed action in November 2008.
Drunk on politics, beltway blinded and deceived by their own words into a business as usual mode; what will it take t0 awaken the Congress to the cries of the people for Justice and Peace?
Just look at the collective ground work of law, decrees and Executive Orders paving the way to the predictable response of this administration to the next disaster!
We cannot stop our resistance, but I fear we must be prepared in our thinking for the possibility of not so much "Civil Disobedience", as we must be prepared for Rebellion. The fork in the road is fast leading, not down the road of Ghandi, but down the road of Samuel Adams.

I was thinking about this last night. I put on "Ghandi" and watched. I was struck by how Ghandi used the Englishmen's own reverence for the rule of law to force the issue of independence for India. We can't forget, Ghandi was a lawyer, and a damn good one.
But it seems our country has lost this respect for the rule of law. I don't know what leverage we have left, if any.

I wish I had an encouraging word, but it all looks like 1984 to me. I mentioned this to my neighbor and she couldn't understand what my problem was (Isn't it a good thing that the government is wiretapping the terrorists? Alberto who?); I mentioned it on the bus and got angry stares from the Pentagon riders; I wrote all my congressmen, twice over the past 4 days and am anticipating a form letter in the mail soon explaining to me in a forced patient, condescending tone how when the Republicans do something then it's not against the law. I saw "No End in Sight" on Friday (excellent) and read that another 190,000 small arms have joined the 363 tons of 100 dollar bills in the "lost, and we really don't care" pile.
On the up side, I applied for a passport a couple of weeks ago, so by State Department estimates, I only have about another 10 weeks to wait. Do you think they'll close the airports immediately after they cancel the 08 elections?
