Democat Dirt. The Rug Isn't Big Enough and The Broom Isn't Strong Enough To Hide It All.

Why Nancy Pelosi Took Impeachment Off the Table

Apparently, it’s her way of taking the Fifth.

If Glenn Greenwald’s post (and the Washington Post article it references) are accurate, (and I have no reason to doubt them the way things are going) then I’d be all to happy to toss Pelosi, Rockefeller, Hoyer and Harman under the bus.
I’ve already given up on them as being craven cowards and crooks, not to mention in the case of Rockefeller a corrupt weasel in the pay of the telecoms, but sitting on the information that they had regarding the illegal activities of the administration is simply… Well, it’s an obstruction of justice, if not in legal terms than certainly in a literal sense of the phrase.
Justice has been obstructed by the failure of these people to report what they knew about the Bush administration’s torture activities.

But since there’s not an active trial or even (*sigh*) Congressional investigation, there’s nothing we can do in that sense.

We can, however, vote these corrupt enablers out of office the next time their seats are up. Just because Ned Lamont didn’t beat Joe Lieberman doesn’t mean that somebody else couldn’t beat Pelosi, Rockefeller, or Harman. In any case, somebody has to try.
