Just A Little Levity
DEMOCRAT DONKEY GOES TO ITALY FOR CHRISTMAS

TODAY IN VIRGINIA

Please come to Busboys and Poets, Shirlington Village, 4251 Campbell Avenue, Arlington, VA, today Saturday December 1, to drop off completed/notarized petitions to put Kucinich on the ballot for the February 12, 2007 Virginia Primary, pick up blank petitions and discuss plans for the Kucinich Campaign.
And

Stay over for the 2:30-5:00 PM Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) Virginia Planning Meeting..

We have the makings of a great organization in Virginia. I believe Kucinich can carry Virginia. However we are behind;

1. Getting signatures on petitions to place Dennis on the ballot for the 12 Feb Virginia primary. These petitions are due in Richmond 14 Dec.

2. Getting Virginia organized with coordinators in each neighborhood, village, town, city and Congressional District..

3. Educating the public on Kucinich and his outstanding platform.

If you can't make the meeting, please volunteer to be part of a statewide team/network/organization of Dennis supporters by sending an email with your name, email address, mail address with Zip code, phone numbers, etc. to DFPA@aol.com, vafordennisk@gmail.com, and nmaynard22192@comcast.net .

Volunteers are needed who are willing to be coordinators, find high school and college student volunteers, make phone calls and help find and establish offices- meeting and rallying points(s) that we can share with others.

Thanks.

This IS what is happening TODAY!!!

Hi all.

For anyone who will have access to their computers and some free time, this afternoon, December 01, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. is a what will hopefully turn out to be a real debate brought to you through a live web cast from Des Moines, Iowa. It is the Heartland Presidential Forum. The Heartland Presidential Forum will bring 5000 real people from around the country to Des Moines, IA in order to tell their stories and ask presidential candidates hard questions about real issues that affect their lives every day. Participating candidates are (in alphabetical order) Clinton, Dodd, Edwards, Kucinich and Obama.

Watch the live web cast here:
http://www.movementvisionlab.org/blog/the-heartland-presidential-forum

From their web site:

"This is not the usual, Washington-insider event. This groundbreaking event puts our stories and values on the national stage. It is our chance to talk about the real issues facing real people in our communities. And today, the candidates will respond directly to us! We all know that politicians often ignore the values and issues of everyday people. But today, they are paying attention!

They are paying attention because more than 5,000 people are here in this hall. We have come from all over Iowa and from 31 other states across the country. We have come together because we all have a stake in the next election and we want change in this country. Even though we may focus on different issues, we know that all of our concerns are connected. And the only way to make change happen is to come together.

We have something new to say. This event is about the values we all share - the true values of America. We have always known that we are all in it together - that alone we can do so little but together we can do so much. Too often, politicians on all sides have told us we're on our own, that we have to be afraid of anyone who is different and that change is impossible. Today, we're rejecting that story and telling a new one: that the story of America is the story of community values. Today we lift up a new story rooted in our communities.

Contribute to the conversation! Watch the webcast live here at the Movement Vision Lab, and stay tuned for blog posts with reactions to the candidates posts."

THE LASTING REMINDER OF WHAT WE ALL SHOULD BE ABOUT IN ALL SEASONS.
