Impeach, Bush, Cheney...The Pelosi Page

IMPEACH BUSH AND CHENEY; A NEWS, VIEWS, UPDATES AND TAKE ACTION TARGETTING PAGES FOR: NANCY PELOSI, STENY HOYER, JOHN CONYERS AND CINDY SHEEHAN.

-------------- Original message --------------

From: ed dickau

Last week in a meeting of staff members of The House Committee on The Judiciary and members of Virginians For Peace And Accountability; it was made quite clear that consideration of Impeachment within the Committee will not take place so long as Steny Hoyer and Nancy Pelosi will not permit/authorize those deliberations.

The discussion was cordial and candid...etc.....

We met with the Judiciary committee staffers and they said that the House Leadership determined that impeachment investigations would not take place.

Despite such developments there is no reason to throw in the towel. They can tell us it won’t happen, and we can tell them the price will be that they will not be reelected. That must be our message with an increased focus on Pelosi, Hoyer and Conyers. We’re in a fight and from coast to coast we need to keep the pressure on and hit as hard as we can in DC, Maryland, Michigan and California.

Forget all Presidential candidates but Kucinich and bring the battle to the Three Musketeers of Misfeasance and Malfeasance: Pelosi, Hoyer and Conyers.

ALL FUTURE POSTS WILL CONTAIN A LINK NEAR THE TOP OF THE PAGE TO THIS POST PAGE, AND FROM HERE AND LINKS PROVIDED WITHIN THE OTHER RELATED PAGES YOU WILL BE ABLE TO NAVIGATE FROM TARGET TO THE OTHER.

From Joe Wilson to Bill Clinton recently stating, with straight face no less--that he had always opposed the invasion in Iraq--the Democrats have lied to the American people. These revelations are no surprise--they were simply inevitable.

As I pointed out recently with the upholding of the civil suit against Jim McDermott, if the Democrats actually believed what they said, Jim McDermott would be expelled from the House.
If Bush deserves impeachment for the alleged "sin" of torture, then Nancy Pelosi and every other member of the House, who raised no objection to it at the time it was disclosed to them, should also be expelled.

“On one occasion, in the fall of 2002, I was briefed on interrogation techniques the Administration was considering using in the future. The Administration advised that legal counsel for the both the CIA and the Department of Justice had concluded that the techniques were legal.

“I had no further briefings on the techniques. Several months later, my successor as Ranking Member of the House Intelligence Committee, Jane Harman, was briefed more extensively and advised the techniques had in fact been employed. It was my understanding at that time that Congresswoman Harman filed a letter in early 2003 to the CIA to protest the use of such techniques, a protest with which I concurred.”

In a meeting of members of Virginians For Peace And Accountability and members of The House Committee On The Judiciary last week it was made very clear that there would be no action on The Kucinich Resolution within that committee unless authorization to move on the resolution comes from Steny Hoyer and Nancy Pelosi. That fact should diminish our efforts to continue to focus on the members of that committee in our efforts.

What this verified clarification means is that that there has to be mounted a concerted effort in Maryland to bring focus, attention and pressure on Steny Hoyer.

SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE: NANCY PELOSI

The media contact list is more comprehensive than that for Steny Hoyer and John Conyers due to the fact that California Media in General tends to gives more comprehensive issues coverage.
This will become important as “hopefully” A Pelosi (v) Sheehan Campaign heats up after the first of the new year. That Campaign is critical to our issue(s).
